8/24/2011 PM : Okay, I've gotten many comments on this picture regarding on how I got so close to this opossum and what is was doing out in the sun. So I thought I would explain. This is Meeka, one of my two opossum sisters that are used in wildlife education. I raised them along with their siblings when they were very young. Their siblings were all rehabbed and released back in to the wild. The two sisters Meeka and Kieran though go to different functions to inform people about the truth about these amazing marsupials and to debunk many myths about them. This shot was not easy though. It took a lot of patience and a bit of luck. Finally, she had this perfect pose and I was lucky enough to capture it.

8/24/2011 AM : Oh my.. When I got on DA this morning I couldn't for the life of me figure out why I had over 700 messages.. and the numbers kept climbing. Then I came to this deviation page to find that it is now a DD! Oh happy day! So thank you everyone who has come to visit my page to view, fav, and comment on this image.
